Ferrous Sulphate
Premium iron supplement for preventing iron deficiency
SCIENTIFICALLY FORMULATED
VARTIFER is a high-purity ferrous sulphate heptahydrate (FeSO₄·7H₂O) fertilizer supplying 19% iron (Fe) and 10.5% sulphur (S) in a 100% water-soluble, fast-acting form. Iron is essential for chlorophyll synthesis and forms the core of the electron transport chains that power photosynthesis and respiration. Iron deficiency shows as interveinal chlorosis (yellowing between the veins) on the youngest leaves and is most common in high-pH, calcareous, waterlogged, or cold soils where iron gets locked into unavailable forms. VARTIFER supplies iron in the plant-available ferrous (Fe²⁺) state, rapidly restoring green foliage, boosting photosynthesis, and improving crop vigour and yield.

Common questions about VARTIFER
Young leaves turn yellow while veins remain green (interveinal chlorosis); in severe cases leaves turn almost white. It appears on new growth first because iron is immobile in the plant.
Foliar spray (0.5-1% solution) gives the fastest recovery for visibly deficient crops. Soil application (20-30 kg/acre) provides longer-term correction. In alkaline soils, use both.
In high-pH, calcareous, waterlogged, or cold soils, iron gets chemically locked into forms plants cannot absorb. VARTIFER supplies iron in the available ferrous form and works especially well as a foliar spray.
It suits a wide range of fruit, cereal, oilseed, and vegetable crops. Always follow label dosage and avoid over-application, as excess iron can cause leaf scorch.
